Hi Friends,
Recently our kiddos had their yearbook portraits taken at their school. While our kids are of course the cutest kids in the world we were unhappy with the results of our portraits. If you saw our example on Facebook you’d come to the assumption that someone just didn’t care about what they were doing. You have no pride in the job your doing if your consistently putting out a product that the mass majority is upset about. Of course no matter who you are or what job your doing someone will always be upset about what or something you have done. It’s inevitable, you take the good with the bad. While we pride ourselves in our private photography work: weddings, seniors, families, newborns, maternity, little league sports, private schools , etc. I actually grew up traveling from daycare, preschool and school to school providing portraits. Special Moments Portrait Studio was founded in 1994 on that business plan. 16 years later Janie and I purchased all the equipment from my grandfather and started Special Moments Photography and wanted to focus our business plan on our private, boutique photography work that you see here on the blog, Facebook and Instagram. It wasn’t until a year or two ago we realized we could provide this same boutique photography experience to preschools and private schools. We focus more on private schools and preschools over daycares as there is a larger bulk of children so of course it opens us up to more clients. We aren’t interested in taking on daycares at this time but we would like to focus our new business plan towards public school and private school photography. With the experienced team we have we can provide a boutique photography experience at quality prices and all you have to do is drop the kiddos off at school. We will offer all parents the option of purchasing directly through order forms handed out at school or our modern website design which is easy for parents to purchase prints, pay and have their portraits mailed directly to them. It cuts the school out of the equation and parents can now make their purchase at home or on the run. Family lives out of town and would like to purchase prints? No problem share your username and password and they too can purchase online. It may take some time to build the accounts and land the accounts we desire but we have a 2 year plan to add these specific accounts to our schedule. If you are interested in us placing a bid at your school or program you can reach me on my cell 479-883-2506 or send me an email specialmomentsblog.com/contact anytime. I would love to hear from you and chat about what Special Moments Photography can do to provide a better public school or private school photography experience. Here are some images we captured at a private School in Florida. These images were captured on a Thursday in Florida and proofs were delivered the following Thursday. We provided portraits for over 100 students on both Thursday and Friday at the school including teachers in a 3 hour timeframe. I’ll have a blog from our Friday shoot at the school up for you later today. I hope you enjoy our work. Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear from ya!
Thank so much for taking the time to read the blog and view our portraits. Have a great day – Harold
